Son Rise Appeal

Our names are Lucy, Jason, Logan and Jenna McCarthy. Our little boy
is autistic. He has very little speech or communication skills at the
age of four and a half. He is not toilet trained and has very sensitive
hearing. He certainly has other attributes though, like a wonderful
smile, a very loving nature and loves to play with us. We would like to
help him come out of his world and cross to ours.

We have found a programme in America, which has given us hope.
It is called the Son-Rise Programme. As it is in America it will be
costly. We are planning to raise the funds through video nights, quiz
nights, sponsored walks and guess how many jelly beans in the jar!

Our fund raising campaign will start on Wednesday 9th May, 2006,
with a video night, 7pm, at St. Ninian’s. We will be showing a BBC
documentary, “We want our little boy back”. Come and see what it is
all about. For a small donation there will be a light supper with the
proceeds going to Logan’s fund.

We are also seeking volunteers to help, whether it be with Logan or to
help look after Jenna whilst we work with Logan, or to be on a fund
raising committee.
